Vanya Milanova was born in Bulgaria. She graduated from Sofia State Academy of Music where she studied violin with prof. Petar Arnaudov. Until she became 20 years old she was already a prize-winner at the Tchaikovsky, Queen Elizabeth and Paganini international competitions.
She has played as a soloist with the most leading orchestras in England and has recorded for BBC and the Italian label RS. V.Milanova has successfully toured in Israel, France, Italy, Portugal, Scandinavian countries, South America, and South Africa. She has been a member of Horovits festival and a jury member of Tchaikovsky competition in Moscow in 1994.
Since 2003 she has been teaching violin at Bilkent University in Ankara.
