REQUIREMENTS:
The Orchestra Academy is open to applicants from the secondary and high schools of arts and young musicians aged from 18 to 28 who play the following instruments:
Violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trumpet
Applicants who have:
- orchestral experience
- sufficient knowledge of English
- a health insurance valid in Bulgaria
- filled in and sent application form
- sent CD or cassette with recording of the pieces from the list of repertoire
will be admitted to the selection procedure.
The Academy will cover travel costs up to EUR 75, half-board / breakfast and dinner/ and accommodation at student residences for the selected applicants.
The participants in the Orchestra Academy are requested to take care for their concert attire.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:
The applicants will be selected after the audition of the CDs and the cassettes with the recordings.
Selection will be performed by the staff of the Academy teachers.
DIPLOMAS
All participants in the Academy will be given diplomas.
Free admittance for the participants to all concerts of the festival.
DRAFT SCHEDULE:
14 March – arrival and accommodation
15 - 18 March – sectional rehearsals
18 – 21 March - orchestral rehearsals with Sir Neville Marriner
22 March – departure
LIST OF REPERTOIRE
Violin, flute, oboe, clarinet and bassoon:
W.A. Mozart - concerto / I movement or II and III movements / and a piece at your own choice
Viola:
K.Stamitz – concerto / I movement/ and a piece at your own choice
Double bass:
K.D. Dietersdorf – concerto / I movement or II and III movements/ and a piece at your own choice
Cello and trumpet:
Haydn - concerto / I movement or II and III movement/ and a piece at your own choice.
